A little less formal, a lot more fun!
More than 700 people joined the 11th annual Hard Hat & Black Tie Gala at the Minneapolis Marriott City Center on May 1st. Business professionals, donors, supporters and savvy socialites wore inventive construction accessories in support of Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity’s mission to provide affordable housing in our community. Together we raised $389,000 – an inspiring and phenomenal all-time record for the evening.
“Hard Hat & Black Tie was an evening filled with creativity and energy,” said Jim Campbell, former chairman and CEO, Wells Fargo. “More importantly, the collective generosity of individual donors and the business community in addressing the great need for affordable housing was truly inspirational.”
Guests enjoyed building like a kid again with a Lego-inspired dinner ice-breaker, dancing to the Belfast Cowboys and bidding on sought after auction items – a miniature golden doodle puppy, on-set tickets to the hit TV series “Glee” and travel accommodations to sunny Cabo San Lucas.
